Katy Perry The Prismatic World Tour
Katy Perry brought her Prismatic World Tour to the Vector Arena Auckland last night.

Accompanied by Swedish singer Tove Lo, it was clear when Katy emerged who the fans had come to see.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister John Key was in the audience but we’re not sure if he was one of the many screaming fans, but he was seen posing for selfies some of his fans.

Many fans in the audience, were dressed in some Perry type outfits, drawing inspiration from some of her videos.

Before Katy hit the stage, shafts of light and tribal dancers before the 30 year old singer appeared dramatically from a giant prism.

With a futuristic, metallic two-piece costume, Perry opened the show with number 1 hit, Roar.

When Katy arrived on Thursday, she took a scenic ride on a Wanaka-based Alpine Helicopters chopper. Posting a picture to her Instagram with an alpine backdrop with a one-word greeting, “hi.”

Katy Perry was last in New Zealand in 2011, when she brought her California Dream show tour to Wellington and Auckland.
