One Direction Fail to Sell Out US Shows

One Direction has failed to sell out any of the 17 shows on the US leg of their world tour, so they’re giving away tickets!

The tour which begins in San Diego next month now is offering a buy one, get one free deal to there fans. So what does this mean for the boy band?

It was last March that Zayn Malik suddenly quit the group after a fight with his girl friend, and there are questions about where the group will continue on.

It was from June 2 to June 8 that 1D gave fans the chance to buy ‘two tickets and get two’, with a 50 per cent discount off the four tickets.

Their concert promoter’s website said: ‘One Direction and HONDA CIVIC TOUR are offering a special ticket promotion whereby all fans can ‘Buy 2 Tickets and Get 2,’ getting 50% off a purchase of four tickets.’

Last year their ‘Where We Are Tour’ saw them sell out every one of the shows, playing to crowds peaking at 165,170 in Pasadena, California, and bringing in over $200,000,000 in ticket sales.

On the One Direction website, it says that tickets for the UK concerts have sold out, but tickets for their concerts across Europe, the US and Canada are still available.

Rumors still abound that One Direction is breaking up with Liam says last week, “We don’t know where that came from because we’ve got loads of stuff going on.”

“We have just started the process for recording the new album, we’ve got a whole new tour going on, there are some really good songs so I don’t think we are going anywhere for a while.”

“We’ve just been rehearsing the new songs at the minute so it’ll take time. We want to get that right, get it right in motion and it’ll arise somewhere I’m sure.”
