Bruno Mars Celebrates July 4th with President Obama

What better way to spend July 4th than with the President of the United States. Well that’s exactly what Bruno Mars and the Hooligans did this year as they put on a special show at the White House for the US Military Families.

Personally invited by the first family, Bruno delivered a first class show on the White House South Lawn as the president gave thanks to the service men and women who protect American’s freedom everyday.

As Bruno took to the stage in a performance that took everybody down memory lane he said, “Thank you so much, you guys, for celebrating with us today. But it wasn’t too long ago that we were playing bars and pubs in L.A., trying to make a buck. So now that we’re on the lawn, we just feel like doing something, do you mind if we just do what we used to do like six years ago?”

Before starting he added, “We’re just going to jam out. This is what we’re going to do.”

Then he and the Hooligans started with Led Zepplin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” The Outfield’s “Your Love,” Bell Biv Devoe’s “Poison,” Montell Jordan’s “This is How We Do It,” Bobby Brown’s “Every Little Step,” and Michael Jackson‘s “Rock With You.”

After finishing the medley, the group played an extended version of his song, “Runaway Baby,” from his 2010 album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans.

After finishing, Bruno then introduced the Obama’s who welcomed the guests and the president’s gave his speech.

Bruno and his long time girlfriend, Jessica Caban were seen enjoying Disneyland on Friday night (Feb 13).

Perhaps it was an early Valentines Day treat and going on the day before they would avoid the big crowds. What ever the reason the couple were seen enjoying themselves on the roller coaster, watching the fireworks, and taking in rides like the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Space Mountain.

Later they headed over to California Adventure to continue their Disney adventure with rides like Radiator Springs, Hollywood Tower of Terror and the California Screamin roller coaster.

Bruno Mars East Honolulu home
Bruno Mars has taking his East Honolulu home off the market. Listed last year for $3.5 million, it seems like no one was willing to pay that much for this beautiful home.

David Buck, a Realtor for Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers, said, “We withdrew it a few months ago.”

Mars bought the four-bedroom, 4,124-square-foot home in Portlock in 2012 from John Browning, who is the heir to the firearms company Browning, for $3.1 million.

The two-story Honolulu home was built in 1991, total assessed value is about $2.8 million, according to the tax records.

The property is located just one house away from the ocean on just over a third of an acre, and comes with a pool, hot tub and a cabana with a gas grill and kegerator, view the listing here: trulia.com
