Drake feels at Home in Dubai

Drake arrive in Dubai last week after finishing his first ever Australian tour and has been checking out what this modern city has to offer.

Captioning a picture on Instagram he said, “Excited to be performing for the first time ever in Dubai on March 14th at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.”

Dubai has certainly made an impression on Drake and he was well received at his first concert ever there on Saturday night.

Playing to a crowd of about 15,000 he started off saying he wanted to buy a home in the city which was greeted with an overwhelming response.

Drake went on to perform hits such as “Find Your Love,” “Headlines” and “Best I Ever Had” before playing a video of himself driving a dune buggy in the Dubai desert.

In an unusual twist he changed the lyrics to “Hold On We’re Going Home,” instead singing “just hold on, I feel at home,” before telling his fans he hoped to come back to Dubai.

The concert was Organized by Louder Entertainment, and held in the Dubai Sports City, a stadium with 25,000 capacity. The crowd was mostly under-21 year olds and did not fill the stadium, despite this Drake and his co-performers, crew members 40, Boi-1da, T-Minus and Mike Zombie, had fans singing and dancing to his hit songs.

Next week Drake plays in Amsterdam before heading to California’s Coachella Music Festival in April.
